1. People often form strikingly strong opinions from minimal information.
You can't resist outside forces if you can't recognize them. Saying "I don't know" and giving yourself time to reflect gives you a chance to see more clearly. Otherwise you remain caught in a prison you don't even know exists.
Isn't it amazing you think these are different colors? If you can be mistaken about what you see with your eyeballs, think of all the different ways you're mistaken when active forces like propaganda and politicians try to deliberately mislead you.
